Statistics and Associations
- Common with blood pressure above 140/90
- Generally asymptomatic
- Sclerosed arteries, vessel tortuosity, and vessel crossing abnormalities are the most common changes
- Optic nerve head swelling, dilated tortuous veins seen with malignant hypertension
